Julie Chen Moonves will host the reality series that is a huge hit in summer, Big Brother. The show returns to CBS on 5 August for its 2nd season. Chen Moonves has been a part of The Talk since 2010, in which she served as both moderator and host. Her real passion came when she began writing and received an Emmy. Also, she won one Emmy award for exceptional host of a talk program. The Talk examines contemporary events, through the lens of five hostesses. Chen Moonves hosted CBS News the early morning news broadcast The Early Show for a decade. The previous assignments included anchoring CBS Morning News and The Early Show. After 9/11 she went to Cairo to conduct an interesting and fascinating interview. Chen Moonves's stories feature newsmakers including former New York City City mayor Rudy Giuliani; Queen Rania Jordanian William Cohen (former Defense Secretary) as well as celebrities such as Denzel Washington. Prior to joining CBS News at the beginning of 1995 Chen Moonves had been a reporter at WDTN TV Dayton. Before joining CBS News Chen Moonves worked as a reporter at WDTN-TV dayton (1995-1997). Also, she worked for ABC NewsOne from 1992-1995. Her first position in broadcasting was working as a desk assistant to ABC News' late-night broadcast Nightline together with Ted Koppel, who remains one of her journalists' heroes. Chen Moonves and Ted Koppel worked together for Anatomy of a Riot - an evening show on television which won the Columbia du-Pont award - which looked at the Los Angeles riots of 1992.
